Project Background
Cementos Pacasmayo in Peru had been using wooden boards for daily concrete block production. After long-term use, wooden boards could no longer meet production requirements. To improve stability and reduce replacement frequency, Cementos Pacasmayo started looking for a stronger block machine pallet solution. After reviewing the project, we recommended a 70% black GMT pallet in 1400×700×32mm for this Peru order.
Customer’s Main Problems
1. Wooden boards absorbed water easily
The workshop environment of Cementos Pacasmayo is humid, and wooden boards were frequently exposed to fresh concrete and curing conditions. Water absorption reduced board stability and made wooden boards less suitable for continuous production. Cementos Pacasmayo needed a more stable fiberglass pallet for long-term use.
2. Wooden boards cracked and bent during use
Repeated vibration and loading caused the wooden boards used by Cementos Pacasmayo to crack and bend. Once the boards lost flatness, the wooden boards could no longer provide stable support for concrete block production. Cementos Pacasmayo therefore needed a stronger brick machine pallet with better rigidity.
3. Wooden boards had a short service life
Although wooden boards looked cheaper at the beginning, the actual service life was too short for the production needs of Cementos Pacasmayo. Frequent replacement increased pallet consumption and also raised long-term factory cost. For Cementos Pacasmayo, a durable GMT pallet became a better long-term choice.
Our Recommended Solution
After confirming the pallet size, workshop conditions, and application requirements of Cementos Pacasmayo, we recommended a 70% black GMT pallet in 1400×700×32mm. Compared with wooden boards, the fiberglass pallet offers better rigidity, lower water absorption, and a longer service life in daily production. For customers using similar sizes, related options can be found in our GMT pallet product category and fiberglass pallet solutions pages.
Order Confirmation and Shipment
After reviewing the specification and understanding the performance difference between wooden boards and GMT pallets, Cementos Pacasmayo confirmed the order for 2 containers. Production was completed on schedule, and all GMT pallets were loaded for shipment to Peru. With the new pallet for block machine solution, Cementos Pacasmayo can expect better durability, lower replacement frequency, and more stable concrete block production.
