5,000 PCS of 1400×1150×40mm GMT Pallets Supplied to a Turkish Concrete Products Manufacturer

Project Overview

A leading concrete products manufacturer in Turkey recently completed a procurement project for 5,000 pcs of 1400×1150×40mm GMT pallets for its concrete block production line. The customer mainly produces concrete curbstones, road kerbs and other precast concrete products, with finished products transferred to a dedicated curing room after production.

The customer was looking for a reliable block machine pallet that could provide stable support during high-frequency production while maintaining good dimensional stability during repeated handling and curing. After technical discussion with our engineering team, the customer selected our GMT pallet, also known as a fiberglass pallet, for its new production cycle.

Customer Background

Turkey has a well-developed concrete products and construction machinery industry, with many manufacturers producing paving stones, concrete blocks, curbstones and other precast concrete products. Turkish companies such as AS Beton have been involved in paving stone, border and retaining wall production since the 1990s, while Turkish machinery manufacturers have developed dedicated equipment for concrete block, paver and curbstone production.

Against this industry background, our customer operates a professional concrete products production facility focused on curbstone production and precast concrete products. The production process requires pallets that can withstand repeated pressing, demolding, transportation and curing operations.

For this application, the customer required a pallet for block machine with a size of 1400×1150×40mm and an initial quantity of 5,000 pcs.

Customer Requirement: Stable Pallets for Curbstone Production

During the initial technical communication, the customer explained that the pallets would be used for the production of concrete curbstones and would frequently enter the curing room.

For this type of production, the block machine pallet needs to maintain sufficient flatness and dimensional stability throughout repeated production cycles. The pallet is exposed to mechanical pressure during molding and is subsequently transported to the curing area together with the fresh concrete products.

The customer therefore focused on several key factors:

  • 1400×1150×40mm customized size

  • Stable performance during concrete block production

  • Good support for curbstone production

  • Resistance to moisture during curing

  • Suitable for repeated handling

  • Good dimensional stability

  • Long service life

  • Compatibility with the customer's existing production line

After evaluating the application, our technical team recommended a reinforced GMT pallet solution.

Our Solution: 1400×1150×40mm GMT Pallet with Steel Edge

For this project, we supplied 5,000 pcs of 1400×1150×40mm GMT pallets.

The customer originally considered a standard GMT pallet. However, based on the actual production environment and the customer's requirement for frequent handling and repeated curing cycles, we recommended adding steel edge reinforcement around the pallet.

The steel edge provides additional structural support around the perimeter of the fiberglass pallet, helping protect the pallet edges during repeated transportation, stacking and handling.

The customer accepted our recommendation after technical discussion because the reinforced structure offered a better balance between pallet durability, production stability and long-term operating cost.

Why GMT Pallet for Block Machine?

A high-quality pallet for block machine plays an important role in the stability of concrete product production.

Compared with traditional wooden pallets, a GMT pallet provides a more consistent working surface and is designed for repeated use in concrete production environments. The fiberglass-reinforced structure also makes it suitable for applications where the pallet is repeatedly exposed to moisture, concrete materials and mechanical handling.

For the Turkish customer's curbstone production, the fiberglass pallet was selected because the production process required a pallet capable of supporting fresh concrete products during demolding, transportation and curing.

The block machine pallet also needs to work continuously with the customer's existing equipment. Therefore, dimensional accuracy and pallet flatness were important considerations when confirming the final 1400×1150×40mm specification.

Steel Edge Reinforcement: A Practical Upgrade

One of the key points of this project was the steel edge reinforcement.

Based on our experience with different brick machine pallet and concrete production applications, pallet edges can experience additional impact during forklift handling, transportation and stacking.

For customers operating a high-frequency production line, protecting the pallet edge can help reduce unnecessary damage caused by repeated handling.

Therefore, instead of simply supplying a standard GMT pallet, we proposed a steel-edge reinforced fiberglass pallet.

The customer accepted this recommendation because the reinforced block machine pallet was better aligned with its actual production conditions.

This is also an example of how we provide more than a standard pallet for block machine. We analyze the customer's machine, product type, production process and curing conditions before recommending the appropriate pallet structure.

Application in Curbstone Production and Curing Room

The Turkish customer uses the 1400×1150×40mm GMT pallets mainly for concrete curbstone production.

After molding, the fresh concrete products remain on the block machine pallet and are transported to the curing room. The pallet therefore becomes an important supporting component throughout the production cycle.

The fiberglass pallet needs to maintain its structural stability during repeated production and curing operations.

For this reason, the customer selected the reinforced GMT pallet instead of using a conventional disposable or short-life pallet solution.

The 5,000-piece order also provides the customer with a sufficient pallet pool for continuous production and pallet circulation between the production line and curing area.

Project Result

The final order consisted of 5,000 pcs of 1400×1150×40mm GMT pallets with steel edge reinforcement.

The project demonstrated the importance of selecting a block machine pallet according to the actual production process rather than simply choosing a standard pallet size.

For concrete curbstone production, the combination of GMT pallet + steel edge reinforcement provides a practical solution for customers requiring stable pallet performance, repeated handling and long-term production use.

The customer accepted our technical recommendation and proceeded with the reinforced pallet solution.
